about me

As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), I have achieved the highest state licensure in my field to practice psychotherapy. I specialize in working with adults struggling with anxiety, depression, chronic mental illness and life transitions. I have worked as a psychotherapist at Massachusetts General Hospital, Revere, and have served as an independent Court Investigator for the Massachusetts Juvenile Courts. As a Crisis Clinician for the state Department of Mental Health, my job was to assess children and adults with suicidal and/or homicidal thoughts and recommend and advocate for the appropriate mental health treatment.

I graduated from Smith College School of Social Work and primarily practice insight-oriented psychodynamic therapy while also utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help people gain better control of their symptoms. In that vein, I earned a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Certificate from the Boston University School of Social Work. I am also a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
